Car crashes into fishermen tent, six injured

Six fishermen were injured when a speeding car crashed into their tent along the beach road in Palavakkam here on Thursday evening.

According to police sources, Syed Bilauddin (20), a third year student of a private engineering college, lost control and drove into the tent where the fishermen of a hamlet near Palavakkam were playing carom board.

They suffered minor injuries and were rendered first aid in a private hospital. The accused has been arrested and his luxury car seized.

We have registered a case of rash and negligent driving, said Inspector (Traffic Investigation) P. Dhanaselvam.
