Actor Vadivelu lodges complaint

Actor Vadivelu has lodged a complaint with the Chennai Police that he was cheated by one of his friends in the purchase of some lands, causing him a loss to the tune of several crore rupees.

Vadivelu, who met Commissioner of Police T. Rajendran and other officials, said he had documents for properties that could not be located. “My long-time friend cheated me… he is now threatening me and my office staff. I have requested the police to provide protection,” he said.

Police officials said no case was registered yet and the matter was under investigation.
