3-year-old dies after falling into open storm water drain

A three year old boy died after falling into an open storm water drain in Taramani on Saturday. His body was recovered on Sunday morning.

Dinesh, the child, was playing on the pavement by the side of CSIR road. His grandfather Ganapathy, who runs a petty shop there, was sleeping inside an autorickshaw at around 1 p.m.

On waking up, he found that the child was missing. On Sunday morning Dinesh’s body was found inside the drain.
