But she was not a resident of the complex

Isha Handa worked as a marketing manager at a private firm.

A 26-year-old woman fell to her death from the 13th floor of an apartment off Sarjapur road on Sunday night.

While the police are yet to ascertain if the death was accidental or a homicide, they are also yet to find out why the girl — who stays on Old Airport road — had come to the apartment complex.

Isha Handa, who migrated from Thane in Maharashtra three-and-a-half years ago to work as a marketing manager at a private firm, is suspected to have fallen around 8.20 p.m.

Senior police officials said that the intriguing part was that Isha was not a resident of the complex.

Even the statements of the residents of the 13th floor have cleared matters for the police.

“Our enquiries have revealed that there was no known friend or relative in the apartment. None have identified the girl at the scene of crime. Prima facie it appears like a case of suicide. But a probe is on,” said Deputy Commissioner (South East) Rohini Katoch Sepat.

HSR Layout police, who have filed a case, are analysing the CCTV camera footage.

Isha’s father, who works as an insurance agent in Thane, received her body after an autopsy on Monday.

Police sources said that their probe had indicated that the Isha was undergoing treatment for an undisclosed disorder, which could have led to the extreme step.
