Vatal receives threat

Supporters of Kannada activist and leader of Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha, Vatal Nagaraj, filed a complaint with the Hanumanthnagar police after they allegedly received an anonymous call threatening their leader and his followers.

The complainant, N. Venkatesh, a resident of Srinagar, in Bengaluru, had received a call from an unknown number on the night of January 17. The caller had not identified himself, but had threatened him and Mr. Vatal Nagaraj.

Mr. Vatal Nagaraj, who said that he had not received any call himself, declared that he had received several threats like these earlier, and was not intimidated by it.
