A migrant worker who got married just two months ago hanged himself from the pylon of high-tension cables at Khaji Sonnenahalli on Saturday morning.

The Kadugodi police said Gautham Chandra Jana (24), a native of Odisha, was an employee at a fabrication factory about 1 km away from the place where he ended his life.

He came to Bangalore two years ago and was living with his brother Gorak Chandra Jana (28). He got married in Odisha about two months ago and had returned here only recently.

On Saturday morning, he told his brother he was going to work and left home around 8 a.m. He then climbed 80-feet high on the tower and hanged himself with a towel.
