The challenge in the U.S. is to provide quality higher education at a nominal rate and ensure that graduates are gainfully employed, said Tulsi Gabbard, U.S. Congress member.

Speaking at an event organised by NASSCOM here on Sunday, she said that many graduates struggle to repay their education loans. She said that a dialogue had now begun with the industry to ensure that the curriculum is employment oriented.

At another event organised by Mantana and Mythic Society, Ms. Gabbard stressed on the need for self-realised and self-satisfied leaders, who understand the spirit of ‘servant leadership’. “Many of our leaders care for status, glory and money, as a result of which people and environment suffer.”
