Traffic restrictions for the swearing-in

Snarls are expected on the roads during the evening peak hour

Traffic movement is likely to be affected in some parts of the city on Wednesday, especially afternoon onwards, as the Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced diversions in and around Vidhana Soudha in view of the swearing-in ceremony of H.D. Kumaraswamy as the chief minister.

The ceremony us to be held on the steps of the Vidhana Soudha east gate after 4 p.m. in the presence of a host of VVIPs. The arrival of a large number of party workers and supporters from various parts of the State is likely to add to the chaos.

Central parts of Bengaluru and areas around Ballari Road are expected to bear the brunt.

Diversions have been announced around Ambedkar Road, Queens Road, Shivajinagar, Raj Bhavan Road, Palace Road, Nrupathunga Road and K.R. Circle.

Traffic snarls are expected during the evening peak hour.

Parking banned

Parking of vehicles has been banned on various stretches in and around Ambedkar Veedhi, Ballari Road, from K.R. Circle to General Post Office Circle.

Among the other roads where parking of vehicles is prohibited are Raj Bhavan Road, Queens Road, Seshadri Road, Palace Road, Devraj Urs Road, Race Course Road, Cubbon Park and inside Cubbon Park, Millers Road, Infantry Road, K.G. Road, Nrupathunga Road, S.J.P. Road, Kasturba Road, Mallya Hospital Road, Central Street, T. Chowdaiah Road, Sir C.V. Raman Road and Jayamahal Road.
