On account of the swearing-in ceremony of the new Chief Minister of Karnataka at the Kanteerava Stadium on Monday, the police have imposed restrictions on vehicular movement in and around the stadium.
The police said that 3,000 police personnel have been deployed under the supervision of seven Deputy Commissioners of Police. Apart from this, 12 KSRP (Karnataka State Reserve Police) units as well as CAR (City Armed Reserve) personnel will be deployed. The city police has banned entry to the stadium after 10.30 a.m. and have requested the public to arrive earlier and co-operate with the security measures that have been put in place.
Parking has been banned on both sides of KG Road from Hudson Circle to Siddalingaiah Circle to Queen’s Road; on Nrupatunga Road, on both sides of Vittal Mallya Hospital Road from Siddalingaiah Circle to RRM Circle and from RRM Junction to Hudson Circle.

Alternative parking arrangements have been made at Bannappa Park, Cubbon Park (from Hudson Circle to the Central Library), King’s Road, Bal Bhavan Road and Residency Road (Cash Pharmacy Junction to Ashirvadham Junction). Parking arrangements for buses and other public transport vehicles have been made at Freedom Park and KG Road (Police Corner to Shikshara Sadhana Road).
Police vehicles may be parked at the Beereshwara temple grounds near Vittal Mallya Hospital, while senior government officials have to enter through Gate 4 of the stadium and may park their vehicles at the parking lot of UB City.
VIPs with pass can enter through Gate No 1 of the stadium. Parking arrangements for vehicles of VIPs have been made at the St. Joseph Indian High School Grounds.

Handbags, cameras, food items, bottles, balloons, and flags have been banned in the stadium.
