Tie-up between City and Singapore police on the cards

The Bangalore city traffic police officers would soon be trained by Singapore police on traffic management while the city police in turn would train on managing law and order and crime investigations.

The decision has been taken during the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) partnership summit held in Bangalore on Wednesday.

The summit attended by senior police officers with the Singapore Minister of Home Affairs and Trade and Industries S. Iswaran on improving the professional skills of the police officers of both the countries.

Samanvay Consulting Private Ltd., headed by Director Mr. Gautham Bhat has come forward to co-ordinate on the training to be imparted to police officers to Bangalore City. This initiative will be supervised by the Consulate General of Singapore in Chennai, sources said.

A senior police officer said that Singapore counterparts are keen on learning the investigative skills of the Bangalore police.
