Three killed in hit-and-run cases

Two people, including a 25-year-old executive of a private bank, were killed after a goods vehicle hit their two-wheeler in Gudibande on the outskirts of the city on Saturday morning.

The deceased are Zakir Hussain (25) and his friend Narasimha Reddy (32). Hussain was going to Tadipatri in Andhra Pradesh for the weekend with Reddy, who was riding pillion.

The incident occurred in the wee hours of Saturday. Due to the impact, the duo slipped from the bike and sustained severe head injuries. Both were not wearing helmets, the police said.

Second case

A 27-year-old fabricator was killed on the spot after being knocked down by a vehicle near Dhaba Gate in Devanahalli on Friday night.

The deceased, Sunil Vishwakarma, was from Uttar Pradesh. He was hit when returning home after work.
