Conducted for Assistant Commissioners and Inspectors this time, the workshop aimed at reducing their stress levels. A spokesperson of MAAC said the participants were counselled on diet and exercise.

The Traffic Training Institute, Bangalore, also organises training courses for the traffic police, including life-saving course. The institute also held health check-up for the police personnel, a chief trainer said.
A senior officer-participant said: “The training programme was limited to senior officials, so that they can teach the techniques of managing stress to their juniors in the Traffic Department. Enduring stress on a prolonged basis reduces work performance and manifests itself in the form of severely debilitating conditions.”
