Small contractors will not be able to bid for tender: association

Fifty-six roads have been shortlisted for the new pay-and-park scheme under a single package, which is unscientific, Karnataka Pay and Park Contractors Association said on Saturday. Working president A.S. Nagaraj said they are opposed to the five-year tenure for the tender, while small contractors will be left out since only companies with a turnover of at least Rs. 112 crore can participate. However, BBMP Commissioner M. Lakshminarayan said small contractors can join hands with bigger companies to bid for the tender.
