Singers come together to raise funds for helping quake victims

To help the earthquake victims in Nepal, the Adarsha Sugama Sangeetha Academy Trust, in association with the Sharavana Charitable Trust, Samanvaya Vedike, and Benglauru Gayana Samaj, will be organising a musical programme titled ‘Anthahakarana-Sneha Charana’ to raise funds.

President of the sangeetha academy trust, Kikkeri Krishnamurthy, said several noted singers such as Shimoga Subbanna, Kasturi Shankar, Y.K. Muddukrishna, Archana Udupa and Sangeetha Katti Kulkarni, among others, will render patriotic songs. “All the money will be given to victims of the earthquake through the Prime Minister’s Relief fund,” said Sugama Sangeetha singer and president of Karnataka Sugama Sangeetha Parishat Y.K. Muddukrishna. The event will be held on the Gayana Samaj 5 p.m. and the entry is free.
