Chief Minister Siddaramaiah started his Bengaluru rounds on Sunday morning.
He made his first stop to Freedom Park where he inspected the plan of multi-level car park.
He visited Lalbagh next where he heard the complaints by walkers who said that ban on plastic ban in the premises had not been implemented. Also private vehicles have been allowed to park inside the premises. The Chief Minister takes officials to task over this.

Members of the Horticulture Department in Lalbagh said that they are short of funds to take up new work. The members proposed hike in entry fee to Rs. 20 from Rs.10 as the current entry fee adds upto Rs. 2.5 crore a year. 80 per cent of this amount is utilised for maintenance. Mr. Siddaramaiah was non-commital about the hike but said that the matter will be considered.
The CM also visited the Rao Bahadur Annaswamy Dispensary on M.M. Road. Built in 1909, the dispensary is now a Primary Health Care Centre. Officials complained of leakage and other issues in the building. They requested the building be replaced with a new referral hosp. To the requested, Mr. Siddaramaiah said that any decision on the building will have to be looked into with the Law Department as the heritage building with Bengaluru Zilla Panchayat.
The Chief Minister alighted from the bus to take the car to pass through the narrow bylanes of Sarvagnanagar to inaugurate a clean drinking water unit. Sarvagnanagar is Home Minister K.J. George’s home constituency.

Mr. Siddaramaiah also visited the Kacharakanahalli lake area where 54 acres of land, in the almost dead lake area was allotted for abattoir decades ago but the project was dropped after opposition. Two temples have come up illegally on the land. D.C. (Bengaluru Urban) acquired the two temples in four-acres and handed it over to Muzrai Department. There is a proposal before State Cabinet to delete Kacharakanahalli Lake from the list of lakes and develop the rest of 50 acres for providing civic amenities like playgrounds and parks quarters. Mr. Siddaramaiah also visited the land in question and a temple in the land.
Next, the CM visited the Janakiram slum. Residents complained about lack of drinking water. Residents also complained that even though they have been living in the slums for 30 years, they have not been given ‘hakku patras’. Mr. Siddaramaiah assured action in the matter.
