The sub-inspector attached to Bannerghatta police station, who was accused of police atrocity by an IT trainer last week, has been transferred out of the station pending investigation.
Kumaraswamy has now been posted at the office of the Superintendent of Police, Bangalore Rural. Police officials said that they would take action once the investigation was complete.

The Karnataka Lokayukta has also taken up the complaint of IT trainer Rajesh G. (38) that stated that he had allegedly been beaten by the police with a cricket bat and had sustained serious injury. He had been booked for various cases and produced before the magistrate where he claimed he had been forced to tell a different version.
Rajesh had later filed the complaint with the Karnataka Police Complaints Authority which started the probe into the allegations.
Meanwhile, Lokayukta Bhaskar Rao and ADGP, Lokayukta, H.N. Satyanarayana Rao also visited Rajesh in the hospital, where his statement was recorded.

Sources said that the Karnataka Human Rights Commission was also looking into the case and the South India Cell for Human Rights Education and Monitoring (SICHREM) has submitted a petition to the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding the incident.
