School relents over fees

June 05, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - Bengaluru:

Following protests by the parent’s association over rejection of admission to students who could not cough up high fees, a private school in M.S. Palya has agreed to admit them for a nominal fee.

Parents of four students had sat on a protest at Vidhana Soudha on Wednesday. The students had been studying in the school after paying an annual fee of Rs. 16,000 in the last academic year. However, this year, the school had demanded a fee of nearly Rs. 1.5 lakh.

On Thursday, the school consented to admit the children for an annual fee of Rs. 638 each.
