Due to the alleged question paper leak of the examination for recruitment of civil police constables (men and women), a re-examination will be conducted. The written examination, which was held on November 16 this year, now stands cancelled.

Additional Director General of Police (Recruitment and Training) N.S. Megharikh said that the Police Department had received credible information from the Gulbarga University Police Station that answers to questions in the examination paper were known to some candidates before the examination was held.

After a thorough enquiry, 14 persons were booked by the Gulbarga University Police Station and arrested. An amount of Rs. 77.03 lakh was seized. Candidates involved in corrupt practices in the written examination will be disqualified, said Mr. Megharikh, on the sidelines of the CM medal investiture ceremony on Friday.
