The police opened fire at habitual offenders Vijay and Hanumantha after they allegedly attacked policemen in their bid to escape arrest on the Outer Ring Road at Nandini Layout on early on Sunday.

According to the police, the accused have 15 criminal cases, including for burglary, chain-snatching, and vehicle theft, against them.
