If the average voter turnout went up by 7.51 per cent in the city, the increase in the respective 28 Assembly constituencies coming under the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Bangalore Urban district limits ranged from 5.39 per cent to 17.86 per cent.
Overall turnout
The data provided by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer said the overall voter turnout in the Assembly elections held on Sunday was 57.38 per cent, as against 49.87 in 2008. The turnout in the Lok Sabha elections held in 2009 was 45.81 per cent.

According to the data provided by the District Election Officer, the lowest increase (5.39 per cent) was registered at Padmanabhanagar constituency, while the highest (17.86 per cent) was at Chamarajpet.
Other constituencies that recorded good turnout this time are K.R. Puram (increase of 16 per cent over 2008 elections), Sarvagnanagar (14.82 per cent), Pulakeshinagar (14.07 per cent), Shantinagar (13.49 per cent), C.V. Raman Nagar (13.23 per cent), Gandhinagar (13.19 per cent) and Vijayanagar (13.01 per cent).

However, Sarvagnanagar continues to be the Assembly constituency with the least voter turnout with just 50.23 per cent.
Others that registered poor voter turnout this year are Basavanagudi (52.21), B.T.M. Layout (53.01 per cent) and C.V. Raman Nagar (53.9 per cent).
