Metro Green Line launch: No parking in CBD

Namma Metro Green Line will be launched by President Pranab Mukerjee on June 17.

As part of the arrangements made for the launch of Namma Metro Green Line by President Pranab Mukerjee from Vidhana Soudha on June 17, the city traffic police will not allow parking of vehicles in Central Business district. The launch is scheduled at 6 p.m.

Around 5,000 people are expected to take part in the programme. Parking will not be allowed on Old Airport Road, Trinity Junction, M.G. Road, Dickinson Road, Cubbon Road, Rajbhavan Road, Ali Askar Road, Infantry Road, Queens Road, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi and areas in and around Vidhana Soudha.

Parking facility for Ministers has been arranged at Vikasa Soudha and parking lot at the west gate of Vidhana Soudha. Media will be allowed to park at the Attorney General’s office, while invites can park at M.S. building, KGID building premises, Cubbon Park, Central Street, Freedom Park, Palace Road and Kasturba Road.

Police vehicles will be parked at Legislators Home parking lot.

On Thursday, Chief Minister Siddaramiah travelled by the Green Line from Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station to R.V. Road Station and back.
