A rag picker bludgeoned his wife in full public view on the street in LBS Nagar, Yelahanka Satellite Town on Sunday afternoon. The man who tried to flee was apprehnded by the public and handed over to the police.
The deceased Jayamma (30) was married to Dheerbal Kumar (27) for the past two years. The two were working as rag pickers and living in a temporary shed in LBS Nagar.
On Sunday afternoon, as the couple was walking down the road in the area, a bitter tiff broke out between the two, when in a fit of rage, Dheerbal Kumar kicked his wife to the ground and bludgeoned her with a cement hollow brick lying nearby as she fell to the ground.

Though Jayamma was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital, she was declared brought dead. She had suffered a severe head injury.
Yelahanka New Town police have registered a case and have arrested Dheerbal Kumar.
