Left out from scheme against recommendation

February 05, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST - Bengaluru:

In an intriguing case, 3.8 acres of land in Amrutahalli, owned by one Erappa, was deleted during the remodified scheme even though both the Special Land Acquisition Officer (SLAO) and the Deputy Commissioner (Land Acquisition) of Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) recommended non-deletion.

The SLAO’s report stated that Survey no. 55 and 56 of Amrutahalli “does not come under any of the parameters of the High Court order and resolved to reject the application”. The BDA internal report also came to the same conclusion. However, the BDA remarks that the technical errors were rectified and deleted the land from the remodified scheme.

Mr. Erappa owned 8.6 acres of land in multiple parcels in Amrutahalli, which was deleted from the remodified scheme after “rectifying technical errors”. A private layout with drainage system and roads had come up, said three SLAO reports. However, the BDA notes that its internal report contradicted these findings. However, all these land parcels have been deleted from the remodified scheme.
