KSRTC suspends services to Andhra Pradesh

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has suspended its services to Andhra Pradesh following widespread protests in several parts of that State over the Telangana issue.

KSRTC officials said this was done as a precautionary measure after consultation with their counterparts in Andhra Pradesh. A total of 128 buses ply everyday to various parts of Andhra Pradesh.

KSRTC officials admitted that passengers who have gone to various parts of Andhra Pradesh including Tirupati have been stranded. KSRTC is running buses only till Hindupur on the border.
