Pointing out that there is a Public Interest Litigation listed at serial number 99 on the board, the Chief Justice told BBMP counsel that all illegal banners, etc should be removed by the time the Bench takes up hearing on the PIL petition.

The Bench questioned should the BBMP require directions to the civil body to execute the duties as per law.  The Bench also said that it will have to infer that administration if the BBMP has collapsed if no effective action is taken by the civic body.

The Bench also cautioned the BBMP that it can appoint court commissioner to verify removal of illegal banners.
