Jimmy, member of the Police Dog Squad, helped the Electronic City police to crack a murder case that was reported at Dodda Toguru in Electronic City on September 11.

The police found a decapitated body of a man in an isolated place. The killers had not just decapitated the head to conceal the identity, they had also castrated the victim. This led the police to suspect that the murder was the result of an illicit affair.
Since the police did not have any clues to identify the victim, they sought the help of the dog squad. It was Jimmy who came to their rescue. This sniffer dog led the police straight to the door of the killers, around four kilometers away from the scene of crime .
The police picked up Gandhi Jeroy, Madhu Jeroy and Kashiram, who later confessed to the murder.

The police were able to identify the victim as Biranchi. The deceased was friends with the accused, who were all from Odisha and working as labourers. Biranchi was allegedly having an affair with Gandhi and Madhu’s sister and had reportedly impregnated her. When the accused got to know of this, they decided to kill him.
As per the plan, the brothers, along with their friend Kashiram, invited Biranchi for a liquor party and murdered him. The police claim that the trio disposed off the victim’s head and private parts.
