The idea behind laughter therapy is to inspire employees to be stress-free

With rising stress-levels at workplace, companies take different routes to come to the rescue of employees.

But IT company Evolving Systems opted for something unique.

A group from the Avalahalli Girinagar Laughter Club entered the IT office on Monday morning and surprised everyone with their sudden bout of energy coupled with continuous laughter, simultaneously urging all employees to laugh with them.

The event lasted a good half an hour, with all 104 employees participating, leaving behind their work stress.

“The idea behind the event was to inspire the entire team to be stress-free and welcome Monday morning with smiles,” said Suguna Rajaram, HR Manager, Evolving Systems.

The club members were only too happy to pitch in. “Nowadays, people don’t laugh much and the ongoing rat race has made them forget the gift of smile. This has also led to an increase in suicide rates,” said club member Shyamla G.K.
