The City Railway police arrested a man identified as Kashinath (61) for allegedly molesting an Irish national in the waiting room of the City Railway Station on Thursday.

Kashinath, from Davangere, claimed to be an evangelist.

According to the police, the woman had disembarked from the Hampi Express at 6.30 a.m. and was waiting to catch another train at 5.30 p.m. Kashinath approached the woman, who was sitting on the platform, and advised her to rest in the air-conditioned waiting room. He later went to the room and tried putting a shawl around her.
