Infantry Day to be observed on October 27

October 27 is being observed as Infantry Day across the country as homage to war heroes.

At 9.30 a.m. on Monday; Major General C.M. Rodrigues, Commandant Selection Centre (South); Major General A.K. Singh, General Officer Commanding, Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area; and Lieutenant General Ravi Eipe (retd) will lead the wreath-laying ceremony at the Parachute Regiment Training Centre War Memorial, J.C. Nagar, behind Doordarshan Kendra, according to a statement from the Ministry of Defence.
