Holiday weekend: advisory to passengers

In anticipation of the usual traffic congestion near the City Railway Station and the Kempe Gowda Bus Station on account of the holiday weekend, the traffic police have imposed some restrictions on Thursday and Friday to make commuting easier.

A police communiqué requested commuters to avoid K.G. Road, Goods Shed Road, Seshadri Road, Subedar Chattram Poad, Platform Road, Krishna Flour Mill Road between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. on both days. All buses going towards Mysore, Kodagu, Kerala and via Hosur in Tamil Nadu will start only from Mysore Road Bus terminus.

Buses bound for Tamil Nadu will start from the Shanthinagar Bus terminus while those going to Davanagere will start from Chikka Lalbagh terminus.

Passengers travelling to Shimoga should go to the Yeshwanthpur TTMC.

Passengers leaving Bangalore are advised not to bring their vehicles to their place of boarding. Parking of all private vehicles is banned on Dhanvanthri Road, Railway Station Road, Tank Bund Road, Platform Road and Khodays junction on both days. Long-distance idle parking of all transport buses will be restricted to Balekai Mandi, Jakkarayanakere, NGEF Terminal and New Peenya Bus terminal.
