He was running away after his vehicle hit a cab

A tipper driver rammed into a cab. Fearing that he had killed the cab driver, he fled from the accident scene. However, on the way, he died of cardiac arrest. Ironically, the car driver got away with minor injuries. The deceased is Parashuram (38).

The Madiwala police said the accident occurred around 5.30 a.m. on Tuesday. According to the police, Parashuram was from Bellary. He was working for Suresh, who owns the tipper.

He was going towards the city’s outskirts to dump debris from a construction site in Koramangala. At Kudlu Gate, he was taking a right when the cab coming from Electronics City rammed into his vehicle. A few passers-by raised an alarm thinking that Vinod, the cab driver, had died.

As people rushed to the spot, fearing the worst, Parashuram fled. However, he collapsed after running a few metres.

Passers-by rushed him to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead. On the other hand, cab driver Vinod suffered minor injuries.

A senior police officer said, “It is normal for drivers to escape from the accident scene, fearing public wrath. Parashuram suffered cardiac arrest due to shock and died.”
