FIRs to be lodged

Apart from household municipal waste, even industrial and medical waste is being dumped along the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway, noted K. Mayannagowda, Commissioner of Ramanagaram CMC.

While samples have been collected to trace the origin of the garbage, Mr. Mayannagowda also said that he would file two first-information-reports (FIRs) with the Ramanagaram Town and Ramanagaram Rural police stations on Monday. Meanwhile, sources said that since the origin of the waste is yet to be ascertained, the FIR will be lodged against “unknown” miscreants.
