The South division police have arrested a 28-year-old engineer for harassing a girl student in Jayanagar 5th block on Tuesday.
The engineer, Kiran, was running a business from his home in the same locality. According to police, Kiran knocked on the door of the student’s house at around 1.30 a.m. on Tuesday. She was pursuing Master of Management Studies (MMS) at a private college nearby and had come as a new tenant to that house only three days ago, and was living alone. Soon after the incident, she raised an alarm and informed a neighbour who is a television serial actor identified as Sridhar.
Sridhar called the police and registered a complaint later. Jayanagar police took up a case, arrested Kiran, and produced him before a magistrate who remanded him to judicial custody.
