Drive against faulty fare meters

The inspection squad of Department of Legal Metrology recently conducted a drive against autorickshaws with faulty fare meters and booked cases against 100 autorickshaw owners/drivers. During the drive held at Kempegowda Bus Stand and Yeshvantpur, 565 vehicles were inspected. The department has said that the checking would continue in other parts of the city and cautioned the autorikshaw owners/drivers that stern auction would be taken if commuters are cheated.
