The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday directed the State government to receive applications till December 8 from members of the Karnataka State Private School Managements Federation seeking permission for English-medium schools, from classes one to seven.

Justice A.S. Bopanna passed the interim order on a petition filed by the federation. Earlier, the court had extended the deadline till December 5.
