In the background of killing of M.M. Kalburgi, a State-level consultative meeting will be organised by the Nidumamidi Mutt here on October 4, which would discuss the anti-superstition Bill and also chalk out programmes to pressurise the government to ensure that it is passed.
Progressive thinkers, activists, representatives from pro-people organisations and from various walks of life, across the State will take part in it.
Nidumanidi Mutt seer Veerabhadra Channamalla Swami told presspersons that the meeting would discuss what the Bill should have. The collective views expressed by the participants would be recommended to the government. An action committee would also be constituted to chalk out programmes to demand the government for its implementation.

Kannada writer Chadrashekara Patil said that there should be a public debate before the introduction of such a Bill. The meeting would be a platform for people from various walks of life to express their views and formulate a public campaign for its implementation.
