Chunchi falls: second body yet to be recovered

The body of Shalini, who along with her sister Malini, was washed away at Chunchi falls, near Kanakapura, is yet to be recovered. A 15-member team comprising Sathanur police, local villagers and family members were part of the search operation.

"We covered over two kilometers on the banks of the fall and called off the operation due to bad light," Sathanur Police Sub-Inspector Jayaram M P said, adding that the operation would continue on Thursday.

The police had recovered the body of Shalini on Tuesday. The sisters are residents of Ittamadu. They were washed away on Sunday while on a picnic to celebrate their cousin’s birthday.
