CET: PCM papers see high turnout

In the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2019, the physics, mathematics, and chemistry examinations saw a high turnout of students as engineering aspirants opt for these subjects.

The highest attendance was seen for the physics paper with 92.27%.

The chemistry and mathematics papers saw as many as 90.88% and 91.92% students respectively.

Not many for biology

Like every year, some engineering seat aspirants chose to skip the biology paper. The attendance in this paper was just 79.9%.

A total of 1.94 lakh students had registered for CET 2019.

A press release by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) stated that the exam was conducted at 431 test centres under the supervision of Deputy Commissioners’ to ensure transparency.

The release also stated that the provisional answer keys for all the subjects were published on Tuesday evening on the KEA website. The Kannada Language Test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates will also be held on Wednesday in Bengaluru.
