CCB bust cricket betting racket

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) officials on Thursday raided a rented house in Gnanabharati and arrested two persons running a cricket betting racket.

Based on a tip off, a team of police raided house in Nagarabhavi Stage-II and arrested Mohan Kumar (38) and his assistant Raju (34). The police have recovered Rs 1.5 lakh cash and eight mobilephones.

The accused received bets from punters for the cricket match played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight riders. Further investigations are on.
