CBI takes CCTV footage from in-law’s house

Investigating the death of IAS officer D.K. Ravi, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sleuths on Friday visited the house of his father-in-law Hanumantharayappa and took the digital video recorder (DVR) containing CCTV footage.

Though CBI officials spoke to Mr. Hanumantharayappa, no official enquiry was conducted. As part of the standard operating procedure, sleuths want to examine the CCTV footage, which had captured Ravi’s activities in the days before he was found dead.

Sleuths will examine the footage and Call Record Details following which the family members, including Ravi’s wife, would be questioned.

The sleuths had earlier met officers of the Criminal Investigation Department and taken records pertaining to the case.
