Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, T.B. Jayachandra said that the Bill proposing amendment to the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, related to the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) trifurcation, will be passed in the Lower house once again if the Upper house rejects it.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Mr. Jayachandra likened the Legislative Assembly to ‘Brahma’, saying that the Legislative Assembly created the Legislative Council and hence the Council

must give the nod for any legislation which has been passed in the Legislative Assembly. He said the Legislative Council can debate on the Bill and give suggestions to the government.
