The deceased, Sudheendra Murthy (57), was a resident of Shanthi Apartment near Ragigudda. He leaves behind wife and daughter.

According to the police, Murthy was posted in the J.P. Nagar branch. He was depressed allegedly due to pressure from his seniors over loan recovery. His seniors were pressuring him to recover the loans and had even withheld his promotion, a senior police officer said.
