Bangalore MLA’s daughter commits suicide

The teenage daughter of Bommanahalli MLA, Sathish Reddy, was found hanging at their residence in Madiwala on Thursday night.

The deceased Gagana Reddy (17), a pre-university student in a private college in Koramangala, had allegedly fought with her sister on Thursday night. Gagana, who was upset, went into her room and closed the door, police said quoting the statement made by the family.

However, one of the family members, who went into the room later in the night, found her hanging from the ceiling. The Madiwala police said that the family had even finished the last rites in the early hours of Friday. A case has been registered.
