Aviation Management Programme at IIMB

To cater specially to the needs of young professionals from the Aerospace and Aviation sector, including pilots, an aviation management program was launched in the Indian Institute of Management (Bengaluru) along with Toulouse Business School, France.

The program begins on April 26, 2015. It will focus on aerospace and aviation core management in the first year. In the second year, students will look at aerospace and aviation sub-sectors, management challenges and supervised projects.

Those who have completed General Management Programme for Aerospace and Aviation Executives (GMAE) are eligible to pursue the Aerospace MBA offered by Toulouse Business School, France.

Young engineers, women pilots, technical staff from the aviation sector and others from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Kempegowda International Airport turned up in large numbers on Monday at the institute to learn about the two-year part-time certificate program, which is touted to be the first of its kind offered by any business school in India.

They threw a volley of questions regarding the course, curriculum and career prospects at a panel comprising Chairperson of Executive Education Programs Professor Shyamal Roy, the Dean of Toulouse Business School Francois Bonvalet, and the two program directors from IIMB — Professor Devanath Tirupati and Professor S Raghunath.
