Autorikshaw driver found murdered

A 35- year-old man was found murdered in Madanayakanahalli on Friday.

Police said that the body of Girish Katkalli, an autorickshaw driver and a native of Nelamangala, was found at around 7 a.m.. Krishnaiah, a security supervisor with NICE Toll Authority, spotted the body of Girish lying in a pool of blood and alerted the police.

Married 15 years ago, Girish Katkalli was staying with his wife and two children at Gangenahalli village for the past five years. “Assailants may have murdered Girish between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. with a blunt object. He has head injuries,” said a police officer.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Girish had left home at around 1 a.m. on Friday on the pretext of meeting his friends. A case was registered in Madanayakanhalli Police Station.
