APD’s garden fair is back

It is that time of the year when you can try your hand at cultivating a green thumb and simultaneously help someone with a disability. The ‘Annual Garden Fair’ of the Association of People with Disability (APD) started on Friday. It will be open till November 23.

It includes over 6,000 plants in 300 varieties, Ganesh Hegde, Deputy Director of APD, said, adding that the fund-raising event had raised Rs. 3 lakh last year.

Prices for the plants range from Rs. 15 to Rs. 500. Visitors can look forward to exotic flowering varieties, indoor and outdoor plants, ornamental plants, fruit saplings, medicinal plants, edible herbs and attractive garden artifacts.
