Renowned Kannada actor Ananth Nag will be the guest of honour at the 11th Edition of Bengaluru International Film Festival (Biffes), which will begin on February 21. Hindi filmmaker Rahul Rawail will share the dais with Ananth Nag at the inaugural ceremony of the film carnival, which will be held in the Banquet Hall of Vidhana Soudha on Thursday. Actor Harshika Poonacha will assist in lighting the lamp.
With this, the tradition of inviting Bollywood ‘glamour stars’ as the guest of honour was broken.
Primarily known for his work in Kannada cinema, Ananth Nag has carved a niche for himself in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi and Marathi films. He is the recipient of several awards.
