Air hostess of national airline commits suicide

A 21-year-old air hostess committed suicide by setting herself on fire at her residence in Yelahanka Police Station limits here on Thursday night.

The incident came to light only on Friday.

Police gave the name of the deceased as Asha Mohammed Ali, resident of Chandramouleshwara Layout in Yelahanka.

The deceased was a native of Kerala and had been working for a prominent national airline, police said. The reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained.

Yelahanka Police have registered a case and are investigating.
