Woman dies of dengue

Even as Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officials continue to deny dengue deaths in the city, hospitals are reporting deaths caused by the vector-borne disease.

On Saturday, a 37-year-old woman from Viveknagar died of dengue in St. Philomena's Hospital. Confirming the death, a spokesperson for the hospital said the victim, Vijaya Rani, was admitted to the hospital two days ago after she developed complications.

Meanwhile, another A(H1N1) death was reported in the hospital on Saturday, the spokesperson added.
