Six months of planning and 12 hours of intense cake-making proved a rewarding exercise for four enthusiasts of Bangalore Baking Buddies on Sunday.

Their cake secured a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records 2016 place as the largest dirt pudding cake. Prepared by Poonam Ankur Shrishrimal, Danish Ali, Archana Diwan, and Nidhi Bagri in Bengaluru, the dirt pudding cake contained 50 kg of garnish, weighed 1,078 kg, and is 8 ft long, 4 ft wide and 3.5 ft high.

“Rishi Nath, adjudicator from the Guinness World Records, presented us the qualifying certificate. In four days, we will receive an official intimation from the London Guinness office,” said Ms. Poonam.
